The Sethis are shocked to see Anuj in a drunken state. Anuj blurts out that Rajiv is the best boy one could ask for. Rajinder thanks Rajiv for bringing Anuj home safely. An enraged Rajinder slaps Anuj. Rajiv and his mother rejoice over the success of their plan. Anujs mobile is left with Rajiv by mistake. Mili expresses her suspicions that Rajiv had made Anuj drink so much. But Simi ignores her and Manju overhears their conversation. Just when the Sethi family has retired for the day, at about 1.45 in the night, Rajinder and Manju are startled to hear their door bell ring. On opening the door, they see the Tarneja family standing before them.
