Episode 11 Khalid gets disappointed when he does not see Shama the next day, though he keeps waiting for her for long time. Later, Zubaida tells Shama that she was in love with Abid (Irrfan Khan) before her marriage, but her father was against this relationship. Meanwhile, Abid, who is a part of the revolutionary group fighting for downtrodden people, is released from jail. He goes to meet Zubaida and expresses his desire to marry her. Though Zubaida’s mother disapproves of Abid, Shama assures her that she will ensure they get married to each other. Later, Nazneen (Reena Kapoor), Shirazs daughter, expresses her desire to take up some job after her studies which irks both her brothers. Both her brothers term it as a taboo for a Muslim girl to do a job. However, she rubbishes their notion with reference to the Holy Quran.
